Why I Left Brooklyn For Alex Kleyner’s California

Alex Kleyner - Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder - National Debt Relief, LLC | LinkedInWhen I moved to Brooklyn in 2013, it was a new and exciting place to be. The borough had just experienced its biggest boom since the 1920s, with an influx of artists, Generation Yers, and young entrepreneurs moving into what seemed like endless bars and restaurants, as well as some of the best nightlife in all of New York City.

Two years later, when I decided to make the move westward again, I couldn’t have been more surprised by how drastically different my new city was. Whereas Brooklyn was full of energy and life, Oakland felt like a sleepy town after midnight. In fact, the only things that seemed to be growing in Oakland were the number of homeless people and crime rates.

So why did I make the switch? It wasn’t because Brooklyn wasn’t great – it absolutely was! But there’s just something about living in sunny California that makes me feel alive again. And while I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who would tell you that you can’t make a successful career move like this without sacrificing everything you once held dear, I urge you to give it a try – especially if you’re feeling stuck in your current city.

I left Brooklyn for a simpler life in California

I recently moved to the beautiful state of California and it has completely changed my life for the better. I left behind a hectic city life for a more relaxed and stress-free existence in the sun.

Living in California is unlike anything I have ever experienced before. The weather is always perfect, the people are friendly and welcoming, and there is so much to do. I love going to the beach, hiking in the mountains, and exploring the many different neighborhoods that surround me.

I would definitely recommend moving to California if you are looking for a change of scenery and an opportunity to live a more peaceful life. It is definitely worth it!

I’m embracing the ‘California dream’

When I was growing up in Brooklyn, my friends and I would fantasize about what it would be like to live in California. The beaches, the weather, the endless possibilities. And now that I’m living out that dream, there are few things that make me happier than spending my days by the pool or walking along the beach.

I never imagined I’d move out west, but after spending time exploring the city of San Francisco and meeting some amazing people, I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The city has so much to offer – from stunning views of the Bay Bridge to delicious food and drink options. And when it comes to lifestyle choices, San Francisco is definitely ahead of the curve. From progressive politics to an active nightlife scene, there’s something for everyone here.

But while San Francisco is undeniably beautiful, it wasn’t always perfect for me. There were times when I felt like I was living in a bubble – disconnected from the rest of the world. That’s why when I decided to leave Brooklyn and move to California, I knew it was the right decision. Here, I can still enjoy all of the great things about California

Living a sustainable lifestyle in the Golden State

I left Brooklyn for Alex Kleyner’s California because of the beautiful weather and the opportunity to live a sustainable lifestyle. Alex’s blog is full of information on how to live a more eco-friendly life, and I was excited to learn more about it.

Since I’ve moved to California, I’ve been learning about all sorts of sustainable ways to live. One of the most important things I’ve learned is that it’s important to waste less energy. For example, I now use LED light bulbs instead of incandescent ones, and I try to avoid using appliances that use a lot of energy, like air conditioners.

In addition to waste reduction, another important part of living a sustainable lifestyle is climate change awareness. California is constantly experiencing weather extremes, like heatwaves and wildfires, which are caused by climate change. It’s important for me to be aware of this so that I can make informed decisions about my own health and well-being as well as the environment.

My must-have California items

When I moved to California, my list of must-haves included a beachfront property and a pup. Luckily, Alex Kleyner has both. Here are the five things that I couldn’t live without in sunny Los Angeles:

1. A beachfront property- I could sit on the beach every day and soak up the sun’s rays. Bonus points if it’s close to a good restaurant or bar.

2. A pup- Dogs are one of the best things about living in California- they’re always so excited to see you, whether you’re out walking or just hanging out at home. Plus, they make great travel companions!

3. An infinity pool- If you’re lucky enough to have an infinity pool in your backyard, take full advantage of it! It’s such a luxurious amenity to have and definitely makes for some beautiful Instagram pictures.

4. A balcony- Whether it’s overlooking the cityscape or taking in all of the amazing views from your own private space, balconies are definitely worth investing in if you’re looking for a luxury lifestyle upgrade.

5. A gym membership- No matter how hot it is outside, working out is essential for keeping fit in

After living in Brooklyn for over a decade, I decided to make the move to Los Angeles last year. It was a big decision, but one that I am so glad I made. L.A. is an exciting city with endless opportunities, and it has been great getting to know all of the wonderful people here. One of the main reasons I moved here was because of Alex Kleyner, who has been such an inspiration to me both professionally and personally.
